Daily Bible Reading

Reading your Bible Daily

How many of us read our Bible daily? We may mean to, but life’s demands can quickly fill our time. Yet we must ask whether we are giving our Father our full attention as we seek to understand His plan for our lives. Scripture gives us focus, clarity, and fellowship with our Lord, helping us stand firm and follow Him rather than the world.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Psalm 119:11

I have hidden your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Job 23:12

I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

So as a Church we must all be faithful in spending time in the Word everyday as if we don’t, we are starving ourselves spiritually. As Jesus used scripture to defeat everything that the devil said to him to cause him to stumble. But standing on the Word, Christ stood righteously, while the devil fled.

So, stand on God’s Word as this brings life and life more abundantly.

Father, help us treasure Your Word daily, to give it our full attention, and live by it faithfully. Strengthen us to stand firm in Christ and follow You in all we do. Amen.

Have a blessed week.
